Many people ask us why we like to work taking wedding pictures, and our answer got reaffirm after shooting Catherine and Edoardo’s wedding. We love to capture memories and to tell the stories of love and happiness. When we asked Cat, as friends and family call her, to tell us about their story she said: ” When I saw this man in a different light & at that moment I truly felt something penetrate through my soul”. As cheesy as it might sound, sometimes we envision it as cupid’s arrow hit me straight in the heart.” and ” Edo remembers getting a strange feeling on his way to the marina that he’d be meeting his wife that day.” Four years later it was a true honor and privilege to be part of Catherine & Edoardo’s Wedding day. Catherine was truly stunning. Her wedding dress and veil were designed by Inbal Dror.
Their day was full of emotions from beginning to end. Unfortunately, when we arrived on scene it began to rain. Our luck would change for the better because just before the ceremony the clouds dried up and the rain stopped. We were fortunate to capture an unexpected guest to the wedding; a group of seagulls gliding over the ocean with a beautiful rainbow in the background.
The bride and the groom settled on an outdoor location in Thalatta Estates Palmetto Bay, Florida, a gorgeous venue that brides just fall in love with. It is a beautiful place that provides many opportunities to capture special moments, from the view to the ocean, the beautifully decorated arc where they got married, the elegant and very chic black and white decorations and the amazing chandeliers by Illumina were a perfect set up for many great shots. Catherine worked with “Devine Design by Guerdy “ very hard on every detail and all were stunning!
One of our favorite moments was during the crazy hour where we were able to capture the unexpected smiles, and laughter. This also the time where some professional dancers with amazing costumes and make up showed up for ” La Hora Loca”. Their performance was full of energy and color. Catherine, Edoardo, family, and friends put on hats, masks, and dance happily to the rhythm music. On top of that, the Chiva, a very Colombian typical bus, arrived and gave the guess a small taste of the Colombian culture and music.
Many beautiful and exciting memories were captured during this lovely wedding and a great beginning for a new journey. Here are some of our favorite pictures that we would like to share with you.
Thank you Catherine & Edoardo for allowing us to be part of your special day!
