A year ago, when Tannia contacted me about celebrating her wedding at Punta Cana, I was so excited but I never expected the fantastic journey that I was about to take.
All started with their engagement session in Half Moon Bay and San Francisco area; it was an amazing weekend, full of beautiful places and locations to shoot at.
Even though their backgrounds are very different -Tannia is from Ecuador and Myron from Vietnam- their professions placed them on the same path at the right time, and since then, they enjoy been together so much. Fortunately I was able to capture their chemistry, personalities and love for each other during that wonderful weekend on the West coast.
When the time came, Tannia + Myron said “I do” at the Exotic Paradisus Punta Cana Resort in the Dominican Republic. http://www.paradisuspuntacanahotel.com/index.asp
he venue was gorgeous, and the bride’s vision came together beautifully with the help of “destinationweddings.com“.
This wedding was a labor of love for not just the couple, but everyone who participated on it. Their families and friends not only came from far away to the wedding but they were an active part of the logistic of the wedding. I was so glad that I was part of Tannia and Myron’s big day too.
I had an amazing time in Punta Cana, and being in this fantastic journey for the week reminded me of why I love Destination Weddings so much! Everything about the week was great; I met a lot of great and beautiful people, and also I was able to experience Punta Cana to the fullest!!!! The locals were extremely sweet and welcoming; everywhere you go you will find a big and honest smile.
A beautiful Vietnamese tea ritual was part of the events; the bride and groom were dressed in colorful and traditional Vietnamese outfit.
The catholic ceremony was held on the beach, the scenery could not be more perfect for this lovely union.
For the “trashing the dress session”, Tannia and Myron jumped in with the idea of shooting it on a Dominican cave! The adventure was even more spectacular since we were more than 20 people, between family and friends, riding a Buggy and driving thru little towns in Punta Cana!
Here are some pictures of this great journey…
